My wife, Janice, and I live and minister from The Dalles, Oregon, in the midst of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge. We have been married since 2008 and collectively have 5 adult children (one deceased) and 6 grandchildren.

Since our marriage, we have been involved with leading home church ministries, as well as mentoring and training small groups. We have also had several “apostolic, prophetic assignments,” as we like to call them, where we have spent a God-determined amount of time ministering in other local churches and ministries.
As a Christian communicator and educator, I have written several books on Biblical subjects that explore Spiritual Growth, Vision Casting and Renewal, and the Prophetic Opportunity of the Church. I also have a deep hunger to see Functional Holiness replace the “Curb-appeal” Holiness so prone in the church today.
It’s never too late to educate! I am 66 years old and have invested the past 11 years studying with several Bible colleges and seminary programs. I recently completed my Doctorate in Biblical Studies from The Sure Foundation Theological Institue, where I also earned a Th.M (2018). I also hold a Diploma of Divinity from Christian Leaders Institute (2016). One of my burdens is to help stem the tide of Biblical illiteracy in America, which has reached epidemic proportions. Besides the work I’ve already done, I’m waiting on the Lord for how He might use me in the future.
I enjoy writing sermons, Bible studies, and articles. I am an Ordained Elder with the National Association of Wesleyan Evangelicals and a member of the Spirit and Truth Network, a new connection to help foster intentional relationships, prayer, and mutual learning among pastors and leaders who are actively seeking Spirit-filled renewal in the Church. Jan and I consider McKenzie Christian Fellowship our home church.

Just as Janice is the heart and soul of our home, she is the heart and soul of our ministry. Her prophetic insight and intercession have enabled us to do what we do. Persuing my education, I’ve sat under many good teachers, but Jan has been the best teacher I’ve ever had. The Holy Spirit’s anointing on her has broken many yokes of bondage in my life. She’s the powerful, quiet one behind the scenes that keeps everything moving in the right direction.

Princess, the Wesleyan Holiness Dog, is our Yorkie-poo who is really in charge of the house. She has free reign to roam as she wills and lounge where she wants; usually on one of our laps. She came to us at a time when we needed comfort in our lives, and has been that and more.
What Others Are Saying
“Style and methodology will always be a varying thing when God chooses to use human instruments to do His work. One thing that is a constant however between those who call themselves and those whom God has called is the anointing. Those whom God calls have God’s anointing. Patrick and Janice have that anointing.”

“It is rare today to find ministers of the gospel of Christ like Pat and Jan Bowman, who strive to keep in step with the Holy Spirit in all they do. I have personally witnessed their uncompromising stand when relating the truths of the Word of God. They do not compromise to please man and have been tested to stand courageously for God’s Truth in Christ unashamedly. Pat and Jan are true beacons of light in a dark world.”

“A man with a passion for the things of God, who relentlessly pursues the truth hidden in God’s Word. Partnered with his lovely wife, Jan, who shares his passion, as well as unique and powerful gifts of her own. A true pastor’s heart describes Patrick Bowman.”
